St. Pierre's Wood Pottery is a lovely gallery featuring the highly sought after work of Robert St. Pierre. He creates wood vessels, vases, and lamps from different local and exotic woods The wood pottery is created using only saws and sanders. No lathes are used in his work. Mr. St. Pierre prides himself on finding and using the uniqueness of the raw materials and designs each piece to reflect the personality of the wood.

Brasstown Bald
 
At 4,784 feet above sea level beautiful Brasstown Bald is Georgia's highest mountain. From the observation deck on top of the mountain you can view 360-degrees and see four states (Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina). Hike to the top and enjoy the wide variety of plants and animals along the way. Or, if you prefer, enjoy a ride to the top.

Fishing in Towns County
 
It’s hard to believe that just two hours northeast of Atlanta you will find the best kept secret of the fly fishing community. Licklog Players has been a nonprofit, volunteer organization in Hayesville, NC, providing entertainment since 1978. The troupe is comprised of adults and children of all ages, background and interests who are committed to theatre arts. The Appalachian Trail begins in Georgia at SpringerMountain and leaves the Peach State 79 miles later by Bly Gap. The rugged, often rocky terrain reaches a height of more than 4400 feet and never dips below 2500 feet. Acess to the beginning of the Appalachian Trail is by foot. The best way to do this trail is to start at Mountain Crossings store and get information and maps.

Just north of the Alpine Village of Helen, Anna Ruby Falls is adjacent to Unicoi State Park. Part of the 1600 acre Anna Ruby Falls Scenic Area, the waterfalls are named for the daughter of John H. Nichols, a wealthy White County resident who owned much of the land in the vicinity.

One of Georgia's oldest and most popular sate parks, Vogel is located at the base of Blood Mountain in the Chattahoochee National Forest. Drive from the south, visitors pass through Neels Gap, a beautiful mountain pass near Brasstown Bald, the highest point in GA. Vogel is particularly popular during the fall when the Blue Ridge Mountains transform into a rolling blanket of red, yellow, and gold leaves.

Highest in a spine of mountains collectively known as Wolfpen Ridge, Brasstown Bald looms over the Southern Appalachians taller but less popular than its' better known brother, Blood and Trey Mountains. Easily recognized by the tower atop the peak it is actually the third station to sit on the acme.

A brief hike through a cool mountain cove to two waterfalls, both of which are on Helton Creek. An observation deck has been added in the area of the second falls.

This falls along with Blue Hole Falls is located on High Shoals Creek in Towns County. Hike down a steep path to get to High Shoals Creek. Walk about a mile downstream through deep woods, and walk bridges crossing small rushing creeks. The first observation platform is Blue Hole Falls. The trail continues to High Shoals Creek Falls and as you approach the falls, the incline becomes steeper. The State Park has installed wooden steps to make the climb easier. From high up the mountain, High Shoals Creek shoots out of the laurel and hemlocks as a 50 foot long cascade that drops into a 40 foot fall down the rock face.
